Primary school teachers are generally required to lead their PE lessons for their classes. However, most teachers have had very little formal training in physical education, with them spending, on average, only six hours on PE during their PGCE. Research has shown, that this lack of training and knowledge can lead to teachers feeling nervous, confused and even worried when taking PE classes, as research has shown.
As a result, at EOLAS+, looking to improve the quality of PE and Sports in schools, we provide schools with the opportunity to have CPD courses for their staff. Giving them the skills and confidence to deliver and improve the delivery in their school. With tailor made programmes we are able to provide schools with experienced coaches and practioners to support members of staff with their development.
Following an initial meeting during which we will work with you to establish your needs, a member of our team will then be on hand to assist your staff and show them alternative methods to deliver PE and sport specific sessions.
