Primary school teachers are generally required to lead their PE lessons for their classes. However, most teachers have had very little formal training in physical education, with them spending, on average, only six hours on PE during their PGCE. As a result, research has shown, that this lack of training and knowledge can lead to teachers feeling nervous, confused and even worried when taking PE classes.
Looking to improve the quality of PE and sports in your school, with the aim to engage more children and promote the benefits of a healthy lifestyle? Eolas+’s Teacher CPD programme supports schools and teachers where help is needed.
Our PE CPD courses for teachers give schools the chance to not only develop the quality of the the PE in their school but also to upskill their staff. Giving teachers the skills, knowledge and confidence to deliver PE lessons to the best of their ability, our mission is to give all children the opportunity to enjoy PE and sport and have a chance to excel in those domains.
Developed to provide PE support and upskilling to primary school teachers, our PE CPD Training Courses are structured into 6 or 12 week programmes.
Focused on enabling teachers to gain the skills and knowledge to deliver PE sessions in full confidence and to the best of their ability, we leave no stone unturned by review all aspects which may impact the quality of a PE session; from behaviour management to session planning and environment management.
In-depth 6-week programme to be delivered to school via in-school coaching, presentation and online support content.

Our team is highly trained in inclusion games and techniques. We pride ourselves in creating adapted activities which challenge everyone involved from the advanced athlete to the child who shows less interest in sport. We believe everyone deserves the opportunity to try new sports and develop skills at their own pace.
Our experience as PE lead of a special needs school has enabled us to be adaptable and inclusive for all abilities. Throughout our PE CPD training course we will demonstrate and discuss different techniques which can be used to adapt games and exercise to fit all pupils.

We have worked with Eolas+, here at Chaddlewood Primary School since its inception and were keen to be involved as worked with Eoghan in his capacity as a rugby outreach teacher.
Eoghan is passionate about rugby and sports in all forms and has shared this passion with our children, who are so enthusiastic to join his after school clubs and take part in his PE sessions at school.
He is highly professional and very reflective, always looking for ways to support the children and schools and improve outcomes and his offer; but most importantly the children have lots of fun in the sessions and develop skills through high quality coaching. Eolas+ supports our PE sessions and also run after school and holiday clubs and I would not hesitate to recommend Eoghan and the Eolas+ company to colleagues.
