On 5 July 2020, the Education Secretary confirmed that the primary PE & Sport Premium would continue at £320 million for the 2020/21 academic year. The purpose of the funding remains the same, to allow all young people to benefit from high quality opportunities and live healthy active lifestyle by enabling schools to invest in sustainable improvements to the quality of their PESSPA delivery.
It was also confirmed that unused funding from the 2019/20 academic year can be rolled over to this year due to the coronavirus pandemic. Whilst we understand only too well how budgets are being stretched to their limits within schools we also welcome and encourage schools to still invest in solutions to allow children to access high quality opportunities, at a time when they need it more than ever.
At Eolas+, we thoroughly believe in the power of PE and sport as not only being key to wellbeing and health but also being a powerful vehicle for learning. Beyond that even, PE and sport possess benefits in terms of social, emotional and cognitive development critical to children growing. That is why we put our energy and passion into supporting the bond between schools, parents and children and sports.
As PE leads in primary schools and offering PE programmes, CPD courses and holiday camps, we offer a range of solutions designed to support schools with their long term PE and sport plan. To help every school deliver a quality PESSPA curriculum.
