Rugby Camps…WE ARE BACK!!

After all the excitement of Christmas and the New Year, January is at an end and 2022 is well under way. With the February half-term fast approaching, we at Eolas+ are very excited to welcome back our grassroots rugby camps. It has been a while since we’ve been able to lace up the boots and get running around in the mud, but we are very pleased to announce we will be at Sidmouth Rugby Club on Friday 25th, and we are going big for our return.

Alongside our usual high quality, enjoyable day filled with opportunities for aspiring young players to develop their skills, we are introducing the “Tackle Zone” and “Pro Fitness” to further the experience. Our group of experienced coaches, led by former professional player Eoghan Grace, will be on hand to help players of all levels develop their basic skills and further their understanding of rugby values.

What to expect?

Our Grassroots camps are designed to offer the chance for all that attend to develop their skills and understanding of the principals of rugby. We divide the day up into blocks, each with a focus area, such as evasion or defence. There will be plenty of opportunity to play different conditioned games and, for those old enough, the chance to practise some contact work in our new “Tackle Zone” with a former professional player.

We place great importance on the core values of rugby, as we believe they are important life skills. Throughout the day, these values will underline everything we deliver. As well as increasing the number of young rugby players, we hope our camps give a good lesson in leading a healthy lifestyle.

What's in it for the club?

We want to give back to the rugby community and a big part of that is increasing playing numbers and membership. Being a host club is a great opportunity to show off your facilities and ethos on a wide scale. Photos and videos from the camp will be on our social media channels and website. Our clubs are not club specific. Anyone from any local clubs will be welcomed to join. We see it as beneficial to the whole area to increase participation numbers and upskill players.

Alongside increasing the appeal of rugby locally, there is also an opportunity for host clubs to make some money for their own youth set up. Our exclusive club reward scheme means your club can earn money without having to do anything! The more children take part, the more money we give back to the club at the end of the event.

How can my club get involved?

If your local club might be interested in becoming a host for our camps, please get in touch with us. We are always on the lookout for new venues for future events. You can contact us at admin@eolasplus.co.uk.

We can’t wait to see many of you at Sidmouth RFC in the half-term, and hopefully many more of you in the coming months as we announce further rugby camps coming up.
