GrassRoots Rugby Camps

EOLAS+ GrassRoots Rugby Camps are the complete experience for “rugby obsessed” young players.

Our camps open up new ways to learn and practice the skills and techniques of this awesome game.

Our aim is to GROW THE GAME and we believe Rugby is a game for everyone, so not only does our high quality coaching support those who are well established at clubs, we also promote to new comers and help them fit in just as comfortably, whilst encouraging them to join their local club. Our relationships with local clubs is something we pride ourselves on and we aim to further connect as we push to new regions on our journey to develop this game for all.

Discover our camps

Designed by our very own former Irish International and European Cup pro, Eoghan Grace, you’re young rugby players can expect detailed upskilling of the basics coupled with huge levels of fun and a coaching team with real passion for the games core values and what they bring to our day to day lives.

The camp takes the players through different methods of learning the core skills of rugby, such as Catching & Passing, Evasion and Defending (to name a few). Our aim is to add to the already solid foundations put in place by the fantastic club game.

With the additional hours available at a full day at camp, we can focus on individual elements of rugby in more detail and repeat them throughout a longer period using different fun drills and games. This allows us to really reinforce quality techniques and get the future stars returning to their clubs having completed high quality practice

About the coaches

Our Head coach and designer of the Eolas+ GrassRoots Rugby Camps, Eoghan Grace, has played rugby since the age of 7 and from club to schools and then onto professional level he has played for some of Europe’s biggest clubs such as Exeter Chiefs (European Cup winners and multiple Premiership rugby winners), Munster multiple European Cup winners and multiple Celtic League (Pro 14) winners) and Connacht (Pro 14 winners). He also has caps at multiple International levels for Ireland and even still runs out for the Irish legends in the annual Legends game (Ireland vs England).

Eoghans’s experience and passion for rugby comes from:

1. Playing at an Elite Level

2. Working in the community using rugby as the vessel to inspire children and grow as players and individuals

Our top quality GrassRoots Rugby Camp coaches (“The Team”) consist of Steven Tucker, Keir Murphy and Archie Rolls who between them, although still young and energetic, have years of experience as club rugby players and can relate to the community game with weekly involvement in their local areas (Dorset, Devon, Cornwall) through playing and coaching. All have had past and present involvements in academy structures, university structures and community programmes and what stands out is their passion and love of the game of rugby.

Their involvement has pushed our GrassRoots Rugby Camps to such a high standard and their varied position specific expertise compliment eachother and give a real rounded insight to our young camp goers.

The coaching team is based on location and where possible we like to involved current professionals who can give back to their club or community (keep an eye out on social media to see if our next camp has a current pro!).
