EOLAS+ CIC was set up in 2019, by Eoghan Grace with the vision to provide opportunities to children in the local community in South West of England. After a successful career as a professional rugby player (Exeter Chiefs, Connacht, Plymouth Albion, Ealing trailfinders and Coventry Rugby) and an interest in coaching Eoghan became passionate about using his skills and knowledge to help children and young athletes reach their full potential. As a result, with the common ideas to bring the community and provide opportunities for children to take part and enjoy physical activity and sports he set up to create EOLAS+.
Since the initial holiday camps EOLAS+ has now also developed a range of solutions for schools aiming to enhance to delivery of PE and make it an enjoyable activity for both the children and teachers.
At Eolas+ we believe everyone in the UK, regardless of age, background or level of ability, should be given equal opportunity to be involved and excel in sport or physical activity. Eolas (o-las), derived from the gaelic word meaning “Knowledge” drives our belief in using sport and activities as a tool to inspire people to learn – “Knowledge Through Sport”.
As a community interest company our aim is to educate our community in the importance of good self health & wellbeing while promoting the development of well rounded individuals and heightening aspirations for future stars. Our programmes & events are challenging ‘the norm’ and inspiring a generation to become more active. We have an experienced team with backgrounds in top flight professional rugby, award winning teaching and the running of community departments of professional sports clubs.
At Eolas+ our driving force and passion is our belief in placing core values at the top of our list of importance for individual and group development. From every school we enter to every lesson or training session we carry our 5 Core Values throughout. With these 5 Core values we can develop the person and watch the talent unfold.
